Glorious sunshine inspired a big turn our for the Open day at the Brownbread Horse Rescue Centre, in Ashburnham. Events included the Senlac Twirlers, military vehicles from WW2, the Bexhill & Hastings AA Judo club, Punch & Judy, a shire horse called “Duke”, a carriage driving display and a fashion display by “Studio 17” from Hastings model agency organised by Martin Robinson.
Abbey Gate Agency of Battle provided a large gazebo free and have also invited the Charity to join their stand at the Heathfield Show. Equine behaviourist, Debbie Heaver, gave talks on the subject and composer, Louise Denny played the accordion. Two of the hundred horses & ponies under the care of the Charity, Prince & Mouse, gave a short demonstration as they are now ready to go on loan to a foster home.
